Read All About Mosquitoes
Many people consider mosquito’s to be the worst bug on the planet. Their buzzing, their biting, the itching they cause all contribute to this belief.

The scourge of the mosquito is nothing new. They have been around for over 100 million years. And over that time they have co-evolved with all sorts of species including our own.

After landing they will slather some saliva on you which acts as an antiseptic. This numbs the spot so that we do not notice their attack. This is what causes the itchy red bumps they leave behind.
Then the bug will use it’s serrated mandibles to carve a little hole in your skin.
This will allow it to probe around with its proboscis searching for a blood vessel. When it hits one the mosquito can suck up to three times its weight in blood.
Obviously, humans don’t like this, and we spend billions of dollars worldwide trying to keep them away from us. From candles to bug sprays, to heavy-duty agricultural pesticides.
Mosquitoes are not just annoying, they are also deadly. They can transmit everything from Malaria to Yellow fever, to West Nile virus, to Dengue fever and of course the Zika Virus.
Over a million people worldwide die every year from mosquito-borne diseases. And that’s just people. Horses, dogs and cats can all get diseases from mosquitoes too.
